TradeEasy MCP · Setup Guide

Connect TradeEasy to your AI

Five minutes from zero to your AI answering with live market intelligence — sentiment, risk, catalysts and positioning, on any asset you ask about.

Before you start

An active TradeEasy subscription — MCP is included with Premium, Annual and Lifetime, or standalone as MCP Access ($25/mo).

An AI client that speaks MCP — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, or any MCP-capable app.

Two minutes. Most clients connect over OAuth — no key to copy at all. Key-based clients mint one at your MCP console.

Connect your client

Pick where your AI lives

Open Settings → Connectors in Claude, then click Add custom connector.

Name it TradeEasy and paste the server URL:

Click Add and approve in the browser tab that opens — log in to TradeEasy and hit Approve. No key to paste.

In a chat, open the tools menu (sliders icon) and make sure the TradeEasy connector is enabled.

Custom connectors require a paid ChatGPT plan. Menu names can vary slightly between ChatGPT versions.

Enable Settings → Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode.

Add a custom connector named TradeEasy with the MCP server URL:

Pick OAuth as the authentication method — ChatGPT redirects you to TradeEasy; log in and click Approve.

In a new chat, enable the TradeEasy connector from the tools/plus menu.

Run the add-MCP command in your terminal:

Inside Claude Code, run /mcp, pick tradeeasy → Authenticate, and approve in the browser.

Headless machine or CI? Skip OAuth: create a key at tradeeasyai.net/mcp/account and add it instead:

Create your API key at tradeeasyai.net/mcp/account (shown once — copy it).

Add TradeEasy to .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or the global Cursor MCP settings:

Reload Cursor. TradeEasy appears under Settings → MCP with a green dot when connected.

Troubleshooting

The connector won’t authenticate

You’re likely logged into TradeEasy with a different (unsubscribed) account in that browser — log in with your subscribed account and approve again. OAuth needs a browser; on headless setups use an X-API-Key instead.

My AI says “no tools available”

Enable the connector inside the chat’s tools menu (Claude) or the plus/tools menu (ChatGPT) — connectors are off by default in existing chats. In ChatGPT, confirm Developer mode is still enabled. Then fully restart the client.

Getting a 401 / 403

The key was rotated, mistyped, or the plan lapsed. Rotate it at your console and paste the new one. Rate limits apply per key. Still stuck? support@tradeeasyai.net
