This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service, in compliance with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and other applicable data protection laws.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address, username, password (hashed), full name, phone number, country
• Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe; we do not store full card details
• Communications: Support requests and correspondence

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Usage Data: Features used, time spent, pages viewed
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type
• Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, payment notifications)
• Respond to support requests
• Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

Under UAE PDPL and GDPR (where applicable), we process your data based on:

• Contract Performance: To provide the Service you subscribed to

Payment records are retained as required by UAE tax and commercial law.

8. Newsletter

You can subscribe to Market Intelligence, our weekly newsletter, without creating an account. For subscribers who do not have an account we collect:

• Your email address
• Where you signed up: the form or page, any campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM parameters), and the page that referred you
• A hashed (one-way) form of your IP address, and your browser type
• The time you gave consent and the version of the consent text you were shown

We use this information only to send you Market Intelligence and to keep a record of your consent. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We use double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link in our first email. Every issue contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Emails are sent through our processor, Resend.

Signups that are not confirmed are deleted after 30 days. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address only as needed to honour the unsubscribe and to keep it on our suppression list, so that we do not email you again.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside the UAE. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

• Standard contractual clauses
• Adequacy decisions
• Vendor security certifications

11. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
